What a lovely way to feature a special fabric. Find one that looks like jewels and add framing fabrics to make those jewels sparkle. This pattern requires a ruler to cut the diamond shapes - Tri-recs or Creative Grids "2 Peaks in 1" Triangle Ruler. This is an amazingly quick project that looks more complex than it really is.

Pick a pack of precut strips - in fact pick two! The beauty of this quilt comes from placing your dark and light fabrics on opposite sides of a unifying center square. This is a perfect quilt to use your stash. Just sort your fabric into shades and start to braid. Keep adding until you have the size you want. Uses the template included in the pattern or Seams Like A Dream Braid Template #1504 - available through my Etsy store.

Take a double dip any 60° Ruler or use the template included in the pattern to make this beautiful quilt. Made using 2-1/2" strips - No Y-seams are needed. Contrast in values – light, medium, and dark – makes this quilt seem dimensional.

Another in my series of quilts made using 2 1/2" strips. This one was made using the Bali Pop called Green Tea. I loved playing with the colors and pieced this randomly. The pattern uses the Braid Template from Seams Like A Dream to cut the strips in a jiffy. A template is also provided in the pattern. The pattern also includes information for making this quilt larger or smaller based on the number of strips you have on hand and calculating materials for using braids as a border.
